BURGER: New Line Burger

WHERE: New Line Tavern, Chicago, IL

RATING: ★★★☆☆

This half-pound angus burger was pretty good! The meat was cooked to my liking (medium well) and it tasted great. The beef was accompanied by a pretzel bun, which is not my favorite, but it was still pretty good. That was the major thing that lowers the rating for me. The fries were not really my cup of tea either, they were like the natural cut, very potatoey. But I’m sure I still ate every single one. Over all, it was a good meal! Also, very very good fried calamari!

BURGER: Natural Burger

WHERE: Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Madison, WI

RATING: ★★★★★

BEST BURGER EVER! This was my first Red Robin visit which was very exciting. I also high fived Red Robin himself on the way in, so that was exciting. You have a choice between many buns for any burger and you get bottomless fries for any burger. I definitely took advantage of that. The bun was toasted to perfection, and the meat was cooked exactly the way I ordered it, medium well. Well technically when you order a burger the server asks, “some pink or no pink?” So my burger was cooked with “some pink.” The fries could have been better, but they weren’t bad. They had some seasoning on the table that my friend used that probably made them taste better. I’ll have to try that next time. Overall, Red Robin was a great eating experience, and I can’t wait to go back!

BURGER: Factory Burger

The Cheesecake Factory is definitely a place where I know I will always get a scrumptious burger. The Factory Burger is one of the best burgers I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. The bun is nice and toasted, the meat is cooked to perfection, and the fries are delicious! The Cheesecake Factory is seriously overall a fantastic restaurant.

BURGER: E.Leaven Burger

WHERE: E.Leaven Food Company, Chicago, IL

RATING: ★★★★☆

The E.Leaven burger is an angus beef burger that comes with onion, lettuce, and tomato, and surved on a challah bun. E.Leaven is actually a new, really cool breakfast/lunch/brunch place! I went there after church with my family and decided I had to try the burger. It was DELICIOUS! I remember it was super tall, and I could barely fit my mouth over it. But it was worth the mouth exercise. The only negative part of my burger experience was that there were no fries!! I need fries to top of a great burger, but instead, there were home made chips. I just don’t like chips, but my brother and mom really enjoyed them, seeing as they ate all of there chips and split mine

BURGER: Hamburger

WHERE: Cozy Corner, Oak Park, IL

RATING: ★★☆☆☆

Cozy Corner is a cute little old-time diner right in the heart of downtown Oak Park. I go there with my friends a lot as it’s very inexpensive. The burger was okay, about average. The fries were nearly flavorless, though. The good news is that the menu is huge so I will have plenty more options to choose from when I go back there.

BURGER: Build Your Own Creekstone Farms Black Angus Burger

WHERE: Houlihan’s, Oakbrook, IL

RATING: ★★★☆☆

Not going to lie, I came to Houlihan’s because the bruschetta is on point! The burger was pretty good. Overall, I enjoyed it. I cleaned my plate, but it wasn’t memorable. I wouldn’t go there for a burger, but if you’re there and you want a burger, go for it!
